Adam-Mickiewicz-University

The Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management at Adam-Mickiewicz-University (UAM – Poznań / Poland), established in 1984, is an organisational unit of the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. It is engaged in research and teaching. Its didactic activity embraces lectures, classes and master’s seminars for students of Spatial Management, Geography, Tourism and Recreation, Environmental Planning and Protection, Geoinformation, as well as Management of Water and Mineral Resources.

The Institute of Sociology at Adam-Mickiewicz-University (UAM – Poznań / Poland) is part of Faculty of Social Sciences. The Institute teaches in the fields of sociology and social work, and grant doctorate degrees in sociology. The main areas of research at the Institute are: urban sociology, social work, visual sociology, sociology of everyday life, quality of life, sociology of family, youth and gender.
